Sturgeon Cam

You are looking at Atlantic Sturgeon (Acipenser oxyrhynchus). They are about 3 old and approximately 25-28 inches in length.

These particular sturgeon were borrowed from Canada through the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and were part of a nutritional study on larval sturgeon.

They will not be released into the Bay, but have been a valuable research component in understanding the biology of these fish.

This webcam is located at the Horn Point Laboratory in Cambridge, Maryland.
