Sturgeon Cam

You are looking at Atlantic Sturgeon (Acipenser oxyrhynchus). They are from Canada and were hatched in August 2007. They were imported to DNR as sac-fry and cultured here at HPL for nutrition studies.  Their length is approximately 12-15 inches.

They will not be released into the Bay, but are a valuable research component in understanding the biology of these fish.

This webcam is located at the Horn Point Laboratory in Cambridge, Maryland.
