Not so long ago, choosing taps for a bathroom was a relatively easy task as most of them looked quite similar. However, those days are long gone as there is now a much wider range of taps available on the market to choose from.
Traditional taps
Traditional ‘screw-down’ taps are taps which come in pairs; one to operate the hot water and another to operate the cold. The flow of the water is opened and closed by screwing the tap head up and down. These taps can be fitted to both baths and basins.
Mixer taps
Mixer taps can mix both hot and cold water and send it down a single spout via two single controls; one for the hot and the other for the cold. These taps can be installed to baths, basins and bidets.
Monobloc mixer taps
Monobloc mixer taps enable the easy mixing of both hot and cold water through a single lever which operates a mixing cartridge. These taps too can be fitted to baths, basins and bidets.
Electronic Taps
Electronic taps are typically operated via infrared sensors or sometimes by electronic easy touch sensors. Up until recently, electronic taps were only really seen in commercial bathrooms; however, these taps are now becoming more widespread in the domestic sector as their water saving properties makes them a great eco-friendly option.
